❓ When is the best time to climb Mount Damavand?

The optimal climbing season is from June to September, with July and August offering the best weather conditions. During these months, there's minimal snow and stable weather patterns. Winter expeditions are also possible for experienced climbers.

❓ Do I need previous climbing experience?

While Damavand doesn't require technical climbing skills, you should have good physical fitness and ideally some high-altitude trekking experience. Our Classic and Adventure packs are suitable for beginners with proper preparation and fitness.

❓ What equipment do I need to bring?

We provide camping equipment and technical gear. You'll need personal items like hiking boots, warm clothing, sleeping bag, and personal climbing equipment. A detailed equipment list will be sent upon booking confirmation.

❓ How do I get to the starting point?

We arrange transportation from Tehran to Polour (the main starting point) as part of our packages. Tehran is easily accessible via Imam Khomeini International Airport with connections from major cities worldwide. We provide airport pickup services.

❓ What about permits and visas?

We handle all climbing permits and national park fees. For visa requirements, most nationalities can obtain a visa on arrival or through e-visa. We'll provide detailed guidance based on your nationality.

❓ Is altitude sickness a concern?

Yes, at 5,671m altitude sickness is possible. Our itineraries include proper acclimatization schedules with gradual ascent. We recommend consulting your doctor before the climb and following our preparation guidelines. Our guides are trained in altitude sickness recognition and treatment.
