Mount Damavand is considered a non-technical climb, but the high altitude (5,610m) makes it challenging. Good physical fitness and some high-altitude trekking experience are recommended.
The optimal climbing season is from June to September, with July and August offering the best weather conditions and highest success rates.
You'll need mountaineering boots, warm clothing for temperatures down to -20°C, sleeping bag, and trekking poles. We provide a complete equipment list upon booking.
